Winter Park, CO Spring Break
Feeding on Snow

Always remember the first rule of dining while skiing, don't eat the yellow snow!
Whether you go to a professional ball game, amusement park or a movie when you are a captive audience, the concessions will be expensive. Winter Park is no exception. That is why we pack lunch and beverages with us while skiing, most of the time. Once on the mountain you can either rent a locker at one of the concession areas or you can throw caution to the wind and hang your backpack on a tree. I've had success with burying some of the heavy beverages in the snow only to return to them later for an ice cold treat. My nine year old enjoyed the treasure hunt.
While taking a break at the lunch rock cafe, I caught the aroma of brats and sauerkraut. I couldn't resist and for a moment I slipped over to the "dark side".

For 16 dollars you get, two drinks and a brat. Expensive yes but it sure was good.
Sunspot and Snoasis are restaurants also found on the mountain where I've dined and would recomend.
