A Funny Thing Happens in Tok

Once you've been to some of the most spectacular places in Alaska, you become a bit jaded to things that are still beautiful. This was the case for todays drive. It was really nice country but it would have taken a little more effort to take really stunning photographs.
We arrived in Tok, Alaska around 6pm. Here we fueled up and met several groups of bikers (mostly dual sporters) who like us were fueling up with gas and food. We enjoyed about 30 minutes of story trading and reviewing each others bikes.
Later we sat down to eat at a greasy spoon restaurant when all of a sudden our girlfriends from Michigan walked through the door.
As you recall we originally met them at Muncho Lake then Watson Lake, then Dawson City. It seemed like a miracle that we met again. We created quite a scene in the little restaurant. The meal wasn't all that great but we enjoyed catching up on each others tales of adventure. After comparing routes we decided it was unlikely we would meet again but you never know.
