Father and Son Alaska Tour
Clean Up

When we got back to Fairbanks it was obvious our bikes needed a little TLC. Dad's back tire would not make it to Seattle and he was having brake problems. We decided to drop the extra day on Denali and spend it in Fairbanks doing maintenance on the bikes. The first order of business was cleanup.
Not pictured here is Dad and I taking the power washer to one another. It is the best way we could think of to clean our suits.
The Fairbanks BMW was able to get to Dad's bike pretty quick but wasn't interested in the maintenance for the KLR.
The next morning we found Jerry, the owner of Thunder Road who works on all makes of bikes while offering a good assortment of accessories and apparel.
Jerry changed my tire and inspected /cleaned my brakes which checked out fine. My chain and sprockets were another story. Jerry helped us locate the parts in Fairbanks and had me going in no time all at a reasonable price. If you are travelling in Alaska Jerry would be a great person to go to for support. I highly recommend him.
I have many more photos to show of Denali and the Kenai Peninsula. Unfortunately most Internet connections I have found have been too slow to upload pictures. Stay tuned and I'll get them up as soon as possible.
