I'm Going to Jackson

The weather in Casper was brisk and beautiful as we began day five of our journey. After gearing up, we rode to Riverton, WY before breaking for lunch. We saw several oil rigs, and we passed a few Haliburton trucks. The stream of bikes in route to Sturgis was constant in the opposite traffic lanes. I have no idea where all of these bikes will park upon arrival in Sturgis, because I happen to know first hand that the place is brimming over with motorcycles!
Crossing the Rocky Mountains was somewhat like WalMart in Mountain Home, Arkansas. It will take your breath away! Surely there is no better way to see our beautiful country than on the back of a bike.
We stopped at the Cowboy Cafe on Main Street in Dubois, WY for a snack. It seemed like the ideal little western town, complete with many quaint shops and even a piano player outside a saloon on Main Street.
We got our first look at the Teton Mountains after crossing the Continental Divide. We stopped for a quick photo, then entered the address of Hotel Terra, our home away from home for the next three days.
After turning onto Wilson - Moose Road in Moose, WY, as directed by the GPS, we were surprised to find that the road soon turned to gravel. The bad news is that we rode about four miles on gravel. The good news is that we saw Mama Moose and her baby playing in a stream.
We reached Hotel Terra just in time for massages at the spa and a quiet dinner at the hotel. It was a marvelous day.
